Shinn Estate Vineyards is now Rose Hill Vineyards!

As of spring 2021, our brand name has changed from Shinn Estate Vineyards to Rose Hill Vineyards. While this is a big change, our dedication to sustainable winemaking and excellent hospitality will remain the same.

Most importantly, the change of name will have absolutely no impact on the nature of our winemaking or our tasting room. Our wines will still be crafted using certified sustainable grapes, our tasting room will still be quaint and off-the-beaten-path, our bed and breakfast will remain open year-round, and we will always strive to provide the best experience for all of our guests. Our vineyard crew, winemaker Patrick Caserta, tasting room staff and our family remain incredibly invested in 2000 Oregon Road.

What's in a name?

The idea of changing our brand name has been the subject of much discussion. After all, changing the name of a well-known vineyard founded over 20 years ago is not something to take lightly.

One of our goals was to select a brand name that was meaningful to our family. Frankel Cellars just didn’t seem to cut it. Much like winemaking, choosing the right name can be an imprecise art. Rose Hill is where we first planted our roots in New York, and where we ultimately fell in love with the East End.

When we decided to put more roots on the North Fork with the purchase of the vineyard, we started by naming one single wine after our home – Rose Hill Rose’.  It has grown to become a guest favorite in both its flavor and its story.  It only made sense to further expand the name to all of our amazing wines and the land upon which they grow.

Why change the name?

When our family purchased the vineyard four years ago, our priority was to create relationships with our guests and immerse ourselves in the North Fork community. It was important to us that our guests get to know us before we made any changes to the brand.

We couldn’t think of a better time than on our fourth year anniversary to announce our new brand name as we bottle our 2019 Reds and our 2020 Whites & Rosés.

Is my reservation for the tasting room still valid?

Yep! Everything is the same. When you turn onto Oregon Road, you’ll be greeted by a “Rose Hill Vineyards” sign instead of a Shinn Estate Vineyards sign.

Is my reservation for the bed and breakfast still valid?

Yep! You will still enjoy all the same amenities at the Rose Hill Inn that we’ve always offered (and we’re always adding more!).

Is my gift certificate still valid?

Yep! We’re still accepting all gift certificates that were purchased for the tasting room & the bed and breakfast. As always, there is no expiration on gift certificates.

Did ownership change?

Nope! The Frankel family still owns the vineyard and the bed & breakfast.
